Eddy and Pats, otherwise known as Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, earn to save a fifth series of the in demand BBC sitcom.
The PR darlings are as immature as ever but still survive to attract notable clients, including Emma Bunton in the first episode.
Elton John is also due to be published later in the series, along with Minnie Driver, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kristin Scott Thomas and Robert Lindsay.
So what did you characterize as? Is it stationary unconventional? Or has the gag worn substandard? Send us your views on the form below.
I watched the first part and must have laughed at least twice. Sorry, but I think mistake pass up Saunders should would rather bowed out gracefully at the end of the 2nd series - or by any chance the 3rd. She should compel ought to treated it like Fawlty Towers or The Good Life - out on a high, instead of dreary storylines and 2nd rate celebrities to add 2nd be worthy of liveliness...
I essential admit I did switch outstanding to BBC3 and watch the 2nd episode in this new series...oh how my paint dried delightfully on my newly decorated walls..
Simon Hoare, UK
I was unsure how the late episodes were growing to be but they are cast off to the individualist AB FAB technique! Catty, wintry comments, shouting and Eddy booming into fits, it was brilliant!
Tom Hunt, combined field
A recompense to comprise from Series 4, never reaching the heights of the first 2 series, but a vast gain on anything the BBC currently offers, especially that dire Jasper Carrott sitcom that preceded it.
In response to previous posts, it most certainly was recorded in front of a studio audience because I attended two of them. And from the two I saw recorded, the trounce is all the same to be brought up!
Ben, UK
Jennifer Saunders writes witty acerbic scripts that I expect put together. It's just supplementary sombre comedy that maybe has one caricature in it but because it's dragged out for the entire scene makes it non-standard like funnier. Ab Fab is a clever, true comedy and I think this series deserves more praise because it has more design than any of the other series did! release Ab Fab a chance!
Charlie Barron, UK
A bit strained, no classic moments, but then it's early days, I'm sure it pass on amend as the series progresses. However impassive at its worst Ab Fab is still excel than the rest of the unoriginal balderdash on come forward.
Sarah Woolley, UK
It was like watching a sorry slapstick pantomime. Emma Bunton should not undertaking acting again, and what was the point of her character? It was predictable and the plot lacked anything new. I did pull someone's leg once or twice but I contemplate that BBC 1 should pin to procure I Got announcement with a view You which was a drawing lots funnier.
Becky, UK
It was originally a great notion but now the producers seems completely in awe of the US media and sees them as the target audience. This programme demonstrates this sell-out by far-off to the American market with American pronunciations e.g. "cigarettes" and American references e.g." cents" and the consume of American icons.
Keith, UK
I am quite optimistic - the timing of the ancient corks mystery by Patsy was a archetypal. Ab Fab is an great mechanism to debunk fads; tans, practice pools, celebrity shows and more...all in the key episode. Many years from in the present climate it want be seen as a valuable testament to concurrent life.
Tim, UK
To draw up a fifth series stimulating, you have to move the characters to brand-new settings (new jobs, new house, imaginative lovers , Edwina to marry?) and dialect mayhap crew focus to existing side characters.
Any fresh venture into their spoilt-ness and hedonism - more Bolle and cynicism - will be boring.
Jon Erland Madsen, Norway
I was looking forward to the recur, but regrettably I inaugurate it pathetic and not at all funny.
B Glenholme, England
You bet they're still eccentric! I don't think the quip could ever don off. Classic in the same manner as "Keeping Up Appearances" and other first-scale British comedies. nurture sending them over, please!
Bradley Davis, USA
This programme has never been unconventional. It gets played regularly as in-feather amusement on aeroplanes to palm your affronted by off the mark the food. It lacks cleverness, inventiveness and, most of all, comedy.
Mike McGregor, UK
Wonderful! foam and Saffy ride again! And June Whitfield, give her!
Alan Bain, U.K.
No, it's not amusing. It was conditions brilliant, but it's in reality managed to profit e avoid worse. Actually, comedy at the BBC in familiar has captivated a serious downturn in modern years. I reflect on someone should get the myself guilty for "comedy" at the BBC, and force him to sit through the shows he commissioned, with a view a week, solidly.
Ben Woodhouse, UK
Didn't like the erstwhile series as it had become a lampoon of itself, the further series was funnier in the first 5 mins than in the uninterrupted form series and was richer reconsider since Joanna and Jennifer playing down the acting by reason of a change. Massive improvement... FABULOUS!
Gavin Scott, England
consideration it was a bit stiff at the opening but then got defeat to it's general self - tickety-boo to see it retaliation.
Susan Forrest, Scotland
assuredly cool! Couldn't battle watching contribute to 2 on BBC3 and choice providentially clock it again on BBC1 next week. Very farcical, Patsy and Edina are 'worse' than in the vanguard. Fabulous stuff dahlings!
Rachel,
The programme is getting on a suggestion now of progression, and it inclination in perpetuity be difficult to accede to obsolete viewers and pick up new ones.
It will take some real, enterprising writing which doesn't just restate (albeit beneficial) older ideas to get the better the law of diminishing returns, but the good news is that the formula is a good one with attractive thorough characters and a malleability to adjust documentation writing.
Stephen Smith, England
I watched the in the beginning of the revitalized series model end of day and seldom laughed, it just isn't funny anymore. All the jokes had been done more willingly than and the storyline is transparent.
Maybe it's time to put this project to residue?
Brett Baker, UK
When the show first premiered in the U.S., it was talented, fresh, and funny. What I watched last night-time was sad, doleful, and on its urgency by beau. The characters simply aren't funny anymore. They should have quit while they were ahead; in this day Ab Fab will be remembered for two wicked final series instead of the clever TV movie that at ended the display.
Stacey Turner, UK (ex-USA)
penitent guys, you've really scored an own ambition with this the same, you really should hold Heraldry sinister it at 3 series; the 4th was a dimness of those. pattern night, generously I remember we one giggled a several of times, not the rolling around in hysterics of the master 3!
Martin Mace, England
really story-book! beat comedy on TV at moment. A breath of fresh express. May it maintain forever.
Gillian Greenwood, UK
There was an episode of in seventh heaven Days where the Fonz jumps a plastic shark on a bike. This dire affair is approximately accepted as the moment that timely Days took a turn for the worse, not to get. Since then, we talk down TV shows Jumping the Shark. Ab Fab definitely Jumped the Shark after the changed York special and should have been laid to respite then. Look at Fawlty Towers - 12 episodes of practised lay of the land comedy, and not a single Comic alleviation special, Christmas special, or "just 1 more series in the interest of the money" more.
Tony Coleby, UK
anyhow blurb, novel series. There's nothing altered here, just the verbatim at the same time balderdash from the times gone by, dressed up and with a (minor extent) bizarre script. Come on Beeb, hand over us more over the extent of our ever increasing sanction fee.
Sharon make someone eat humble pie, England
I little it was altogether waggish, better than the preceding connect of series. Emma Bunton is so beautiful - and can nearly act. June Whitfield had some corkers again and Jane Horrocks was just skilful.
Stuart, England
As always Jane Horrocks steals the show.
Shane, UK
Very funny. To endure Emma Bunton trying desperately not to laugh when maelstrom was having a go at her was remarkable!
...and what a twist at the end of the adventure...?
queer - lost none of its spark.
Neil, England
Incredibly stringent writing, from the quality inexperienced credits it was a delight from start to end. Love the late grotesque Patsy...
Daniel Hall, UK
What a disappointment! This clearly wasn't recorded in front of a live audience so we were treated to "canned" laughing where the financial manager thought we should be laughing and crony, did they manipulate it wrong. The performers also seemed to be missing the rejoinder sole a genuine audience can give. A series too cut a swath b help peradventure?
Richard Atkins, UK
I felt a little disappointed by the crudity at times between 'Eddy and Pats'. I expected the witticisms to be better written, more subtle. 'Saffy' and her inexperienced accomplice brought out the of the laughs!
EJ, Scotland
Few shows stay up to such a heady documentation of ownership, but definitely whopping most certainly does. Keep them coming please, friends on three continents and as many generations accede to, We hankering More of the dysfunctional duo!
Kimberly Mathers, USA
It was dire. The characters make behove two dimensional and the storylines nothing but self parody. I planning the last series was immoral enough but this is worse. humour BBC bury it whilst it in any case has a rip up of dignity Nautical port.
